Shaped by the Ones You Love

This past June, my three sisters, Mom, and I took a trip down to the sunshine state. It's not exactly easy to coordinate women from Ohio, Illinois, and Texas to fly into Florida, but we did it and the trip was a beautiful success. A memory making weekend to remember forever filled with laughs, flashbacks, and soul filling moments. Those are the kind of trips that are rare, and logistically a pinch challenging, but ya just have to make it happen!

There are always a handful of take aways for me on vacations. On this particular trip, it was the reminder of how grateful I am to have a group of women that inspire me, encourage me, and support me as I build this fashion jewelry line. They truly love the jewelry that I hand make & curate, they purchase it for themselves, and they buy BULL + STAR to gift to friends and other family members- love that!

What I appreciated and thought was such a clever idea was to have me host a poolside pop-up on vaca! How fun is that. I set up pieces from my summer collection outside and we did a sip n shop with sangria. 

If you are exploring the idea to expand a side hustle, or leave a corporate job and go on your own, it's important that the people you love and respect have your back. It builds your confidence and gives you inspiration to take risks and make things happen.

I truly enjoy building something from scratch. Whether it was the my prior Pilates studios in Lake Norman, NC and Chicago, a strength conditioning studio with my husband, pieces of jewelry, or a jewelry brand, there is something spectacular and gratifying to see ideas in your head become reality. Just dive in and go for it. Ohh, and make time for family along the way!
